This three-day conference, organised by the International Rubber Conference Organisation, is the premier international event this year for learning about technical advances in the global rubber market. Held in the UK for the first time in almost 20 years it is taking place at the Kia Oval, London from 3-5 September. Hosting this event in 2019 is a perfect year to celebrate both the 150th anniversary of the IOM3 (the host organisation) and the 200th anniversary of the work of Thomas Hancock on his pioneering pickling machine for the mastication of rubber. The technology themes for the conference put aside these historical aspects by looking forwards to the emerging new innovations in elastomer materials and products.
